Message From Our President
On behalf of all the members of the Montana Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, I want to wish each and every one of you a happy Memorial Day weekend. Since its origins following the Civil War, Memorial Day has provided a time to reflect on American values, traditions and to remember those who have served in our armed forces to protect them. It is also a time to spend with loved ones and to remember our ancestors, to pass down the knowledge of them to the next generation. This Memorial Day weekend, amongst the shopping and recreational activities we may take part in, please take a moment to remember why we celebrate and honor Memorial Day's original purpose.

The Sons of the American Revolution is the leading male lineage society that perpetuates the ideals of the war for independence. As a historical, educational, and patriotic, non-profit corporation organized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, we seek to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of American citizenship, and the unifying force of "e pluribus unum" that was created from the people of many nations -- one nation and one people.
